Food EDI are a specialist branch of First B2B's business, offering specialist Electronic Data Exchange between businesses and suppliers within the food and beverage industry. Due to increasing demand, First B2B decided their Food specific EDI offering required a website of its own to differentiate this particular sector from their more general Electronic Data service.
They needed a sleek, concise website to effectively highlight their expertise to their target market (retail, hospitality and catering sectors). The primary focus was to signify why they do what they do, showcasing the genuine passion and expertise behind their work.
In order to achieve these aims, and to enable Food EDI to effectively demonstrate 'why they do what they do', we ensured that we included targeted case studies. We built the website with an attractive link to the main First B2B website, so users could discover what other services First B2B offers, that could be utilised by customers who were previously unaware of all the available services.
The website needed to be streamlined with strong calls to action throughout. It is designed to act as a knowledge base and a reliable source of information for clients and prospective clients. The website was made to function and have a similar aesthetic to a blog, with regular updates to case studies and articles, along with eye-catching, large imagery to complement the text. A bespoke CMS ensures ease of use, as only necessary features have been built in, for the specific requirements of the Food EDI website.
Food EDI now have a clear, functional bespoke website that is highly visual and informative. It focuses on the retail and hospitality data exchange work they are involved in and has various case studies to prove their expertise. The bespoke Content Management System makes it quick and simple to add and edit pages where necessary.
