Mai Tai Group offers a range of first-class social and professional networking events, as well as an elite dating service known for its bespoke and personalised approach. Their service enables like-minded professionals based in London to connect with each other through the Mai Tai online platform. It was this platform that Mai Tai approached our web development agency to build for them.

Due to the nature of the service Mai Tai provides, the platform needed an easy-to-use and secure Content Management System (CMS) that would enable admin to update the website quickly and be straightforward for them to engage with end users through the interactive customer portal.

The bespoke CMS we created needed to integrate several different features, including giving admin the ability to respond to enquiry forms, auto-generate potential matches for the online dating service, and arrange blind dates. This complex system allows the admin to view all the members, messages, payments, dates, etc., from a single access point – streamlining the entire process of the dating system from start to finish. This improves the user experience for both admin and end user – ensuring the continued success of the portal.

As well as creating the CMS to support the dating side of the business, we also developed the networking event element to work cohesively within the same CMS login. Mai Tai Balance encourages users to complete a personality-based quiz online; the results then match like-minded people and invite them to various events.

Although complex, the careful design, taking into account the user experience, provides an aesthetically pleasing solution and is a great time-saver for the Mai Tai admin.

To benefit the users, we also created a messaging functionality that allows them to converse with their match for up to 24 hours prior to the date. All these interactions are handled directly and securely through the Mai Tai website.
